Malaysia, a land blessed with abundant natural resources, became the world's largest producer of tin in the early 20th century.

Fetching lucrative prices, the precious mineral was mined extensively and excavations gave birth to the nation's progressive

development in its infancy.

Uniting both miracles of the man and nature, a unique transformation of the world's largest open-cast tin mines was set in motion in 1909. The cessation of mining in 1982 transfigured a land once rich in precious minerals into a wonder that is s manifestation of aesthetic beauty and the splendour of nature, The Mines Resort & Golf Club.
